Banana Split Dessert In A Jar

Today I am sharing a dessert recipe that my mom has been making for as long as I can remember. With the summer heat now in full force, this fruity light dessert is just what you need to cool down and enjoy a sweet treat.

I always mix my filling first followed by the crust mixture and set them aside while I chop the strawberries and bananas. After all of my ingredients are prepped it’s time to assemble the desserts!

Banana Split Dessert-1

I added a large mixing spoon full of the crust mixture to each of my jars and used the back of the spoon to gently pack it down.

The next step just requires layering the fruit and filling on top! You can choose any order that you wish. I put bananas on top of my crust so that the filling didn’t seep through.

I chose to put the strawberries on top so that I could create a good base for the whipped topping!

Right before serving I topped them with whipped topping and chopped pecans! If you plan to transport these, I recommend putting the lids on the jars and adding the whipped topping once you arrive at your destination.
