I get messages and emails everyday and the most asked question is “How do you keep your dog’s faces to white?” Today I am going to answer that as best as I can. First of all it is very important to remember that every pup is different and genetics do play a role in tear staining. Some pups have medical conditions that make tearing worse and that contributes to staining. Lollypop is on medications that cause tear staining that comes and goes. If tear staining is an issue for your fur baby then the first thing you should do is see your vet to rule out and medical issues that may be causing it. That being said I will share exactly what I do to keep my dog’s faces clean and white and I am including a list of all of the products that I use at the end of this post.

Our morning and night grooming routines alway include a face cleaning. In the morning I use a clean tissue to wipe out any yucky stuff out of their eyes and then I use the fine end of the facial comb to brush out their hair around their eyes. After that I comb the rest of their face out and redo their topknot. The reason that I don’t have to completely wash their faces in the morning is because I give them a good cleaning every night before bed.
