My daughter turned 5 in February and we went all-in on a rainbow birthday theme. The cone hat template from this post saved me because I needed something quick after my first attempt with tissue paper went sideways—literally, the glue wouldn’t hold and I had 6 soggy hats drying on my kitchen counter at 10pm.
Ended up making 8 DIY hats for the close friends and then grabbing a bulk pack from GINYOU for the classroom celebration. 22 kids and I wasn’t about to hand-cut 22 cones. Their hats are CPSIA certified which matters when you know half the class will chew on the elastic. Every single one made it through the party—the Amazon ones I tried last year had 3 broken elastics before cake.
The birthday number templates are genius though. Definitely printing the “5” for the special hat.
